My classical album Pants was recorded in the A = 432hz tuning standard, also known as the “Verdi” tuning.
I choose this tuning standard because the lower frequency seems to soften some of the nasal qualities that many piano recordings have (especially around C3-C4). In addition, the higher notes/frequencies in the mix seemed to be a little more rounded. I’m not sure if there is an explanation that is scientific for that, but even if it’s just an aural illusion, I’m satisfied with the result.
